( So I was sitting around and thinking about things when I realized that it was nearly Christmas and I had completely forgotten about The Christmas Crew!!
For those of you who don't know, they're some of my characters who leave good cheer and give gifts/decorate the forest!!
It's a little late now, and I won't be able to get things organized like in the past years, but next year I will!!)
The snow rained down over the lake settlements of the clans, covering everything in sight. The lake was frozen, the trees bared of leaves, and the air crisp and cold. Christmas was near, and yet, Snowflake's brother and sister had not returned, and it worried her.
In past years, they had come to the clans at the beginning of December, but that day had long since passed.
The fluffy white she-cat rose from her warm bed, her worry too much to allow her sleep. Her sleep had been broken since about halfway through the month, since the worry had started.
Leaving the den, the she-cat quietly made her way out of the camp and into the falling snow. She couldn't help but pause for a moment, admiring the silence that had come over the clans. She snapped out of her daze when she heard a familiar laugh in the distance, and her ears perked up, listening for more, and it grew louder and louder quickly.
A smile graced her lips, and the fluffy cat began to bound through the snow, joy bursting in her eyes as the shapes if Jinglebell and Santaclaws came into her view.
"Jingle! Santa!" she cried, tackling them both over into the snow, warm tears running down her face. "I missed you two so much!! I was so worried!" she sobbed.
Jinglebell grinned widely as her sister tackled her and her brother, and purred softly as Snowflake whined about them being late. "Sorry Snow! We ran into a bit of a roadblock," she said, "We were worried we wouldn't make it make in time for Christmas, actually," she confessed, and Santaclaws nodded in agreement.
"We made it, though, and that's what matters," Santaclaws laughed, purring loudly.
